WUTU

Formed in the evening on Mid-Autumn festival in 2021, WUTU is an alternative rock band in Taiwan. Its name comes from of East Asia mythology—a three-legged crow representing the Sun, and a Moon rabbit living on the Moon. The members of WUTU were the lead singer/synth player Maggie, the guitarist Ann, the Bassist Ben, and the drummer Pan. In 2022, a new guitarist Wang Chung Yang joined the band, bringing on more experimental and unconventional sound. The music style of WUTU is often considered as a mixture of mystery, ritual and quest, which is unusual in Taiwan. Intensive preparation and recording of a new album in 2024, expected to be released by the end of the year.
